Private Client Tax Senior Manager | £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus | Hybrid Working | Oxfordshire
If you're a senior private client tax adviser ready to step into a more strategic, client-facing role, this opportunity offers real scope - complex planning work, high-quality clients, leadership influence, and a clear route to partnership.
You'll join a growing advisory-led team that works closely with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, shareholders and family business owners. The work leans heavily into CGT and IHT planning, trusts and estates, and international issues. You'll be the go-to adviser on complex, high-value planning matters including shareholder exits, succession strategies, property structuring, and wealth preservation.
You'll manage your own portfolio of long-term clients and act as a trusted adviser. Internally, you'll support the development of more junior staff, provide high-level technical review, and contribute to the direction of the team.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Advising on complex tax planning including CGT, IHT, trusts, shareholder reorganisations, and cross-border matters
- Managing and developing a portfolio of HNW clients and business owners
- Building trusted relationships and identifying wider advisory opportunities
- Leading technical delivery on projects while mentoring and reviewing work from junior team members
- Collaborating across departments to deliver joined-up advice
- Playing a key role in shaping the future of the private client team
What you need:
You'll need to be CTA qualified (or ACA/STEP with strong tax experience), with a solid track record of private client work and a strong grasp of tax planning and advisory for individuals, estates, and trusts. In return, you'll get more than just progression - you'll join a firm that's serious about work-life balance and employee wellbeing.
Salary is £70,000 - £85,000 + bonus, with a modern benefits package and a clear path to partner for those who want it.
If you're looking for a more meaningful role in private client tax, where you can work closely with interesting clients and have real impact, get in touch for a confidential conversation.
