Senior Legal Counsel (Construction)| Energy Sector | Yorkshire
We are currently seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our client's reputable organisation, a leader in the energy sector. As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in advising our client's capital projects team, supporting their construction and acquisition activities.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to major projects in the UK and internationally, making a genuine impact in the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Advise, draft and negotiate a range of complex commercial and contractual matters, including construction contracts (bespoke and standard form)
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations
- Collaborate with senior team members, external stakeholders, and regulators
- Contribute to the development of legal expertise within the team
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor/barrister with experience in construction law
- Knowledge of FIDIC templates and preferably M&A experience
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and drafting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multi-disciplinary environment
