Are you a seasoned Industrial Relations / Employee Relations expert with a deep understanding of Trade Union engagement? Do you have experience navigating complex union negotiations and driving positive workplace relations within manufacturing, engineering, transport, or logistics environments? The Role:
As the Head of Industrial Relations / Employee Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the ER strategy, ensuring effective trade union relationships, and fostering a positive industrial relations climate. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will:
✅ Lead on union negotiations, consultations, and collective bargaining agreements.
✅ Provide expert advice on industrial relations, employment law, and dispute resolution.
✅ Develop and implement ER strategies to support business objectives.
✅ Manage complex ER cases, including grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
✅ Support cultural and organisational change initiatives.
✅ Ensure compliance with employment legislation and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For:
✔ Proven experience in Industrial Relations / Employee Relations within manufacturing, engineering, transport, or logistics.
✔ Strong background in Trade Union engagement, collective bargaining, and negotiations.
✔ A strategic thinker with the ability to manage ER risk and influence stakeholders at all levels.
✔ Deep knowledge of UK employment law and industrial relations frameworks.
✔ Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
