About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Shared Services Manager to lead and manage their HR Shared Services function. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering exceptional HR operational support, driving continuous improvement, and optimising HR systems, including Workday, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery aligned with business goals.
The successful candidate will lead a team of HR professionals, oversee the delivery of transactional HR services, and serve as a subject matter expert for Workday HRIS functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR Shared Services team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of HR services.
- Act as the Workday HRIS lead, ensuring the system is utilised to its full potential, including overseeing system configurations, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement HR processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and data protection regulations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for escalated HR queries and resolve complex cases.
- Lead and manage a team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify and address HR service needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes, and enhancing service delivery, with a focus on leveraging Workday's capabilities.

You are an experienced HR professional with a strong background in managing shared services or operational HR teams, combined with hands-on expertise in Workday HRIS. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional service and optimising HR technologies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing an HR Shared Services or HR Operations team.
- Knowledge of Workday HRIS, including system configurations, data management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and best practises.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in driving process improvement initiatives.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is highly desirable.
