The role
A leading professional services firm with a strong national presence is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Senior to join its Birmingham team. This is a varied role within a well-established tax function, offering exposure to a broad and interesting client base alongside strong opportunities for progression.


You'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio while supporting the wider team with both compliance and advisory work, within a supportive and well-structured environment.



Key responsibilities


  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio
  • Managing day-to-day relationships with private clients
  • Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and ongoing support
  • Supervising and supporting junior team members
  • Identifying potential advisory opportunities within your client base
  • Maintaining strong client relationships across a diverse portfolio
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines


About you


  • ATT / CTA or ACA / CTA qualified or part-qualified
  • Strong background in personal tax within practice
  • Experience managing or working with a client portfolio
  • Exposure to a range of private client work including HNWIs, directors, and property clients desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive approach with an interest in advisory work
  • Organised, detail-focused, and confident managing deadlines
