Are you an ambitious and innovative professional with a passion for corporate banking? Our client, a leading investment bank, is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their team and play a key role in their growth and expansion plans.
As a Relationship Manager, you will work closely with the team head in developing new relationships within different asset classes, including M&A, IG, and PF. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with UK domestic and European businesses, with an expanding focus on the Chinese market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the team head to identify and bring on board qualifying business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, participating in syndicated loans and underwriting transactions
- Prepare credit applications and present them to credit committees
- Monitor clients' portfolios, conduct financial analysis, and ensure compliance with financial covenants
- Collaborate with various departments to manage credit risk and meet regulatory requirements
- Stay up to date with market trends in international business, particularly in the UK and European corporate banking market
- Complete other tasks as required by the Deputy Head / Head of Corporate Banking
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or related finance industry
- Solid credit management experience within Corporate Banking
- Good understanding of corporate financing activities and products
- Working knowledge of EU Syndicated Loans
- Ability to build effective relationships and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with financial modelling skills
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to interpret legal clauses and loan documentation
