LHH are exclusively partnering with a leading global business to find a Financial Controller. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring robust controls, and driving strategic decision-making across the organisation.
The business is on a rapid growth trajectory, driven by acquisitions. Alongside other Senior Finance stakeholders you would be instrumental in assisting in M&A activities across the Group.
A passion for driving continuous improvement and change by utilising automation is key. As is a desire to be involved in various global projects across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting
- Maintain and implement strong internal controls and financial policies, including payroll support
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and manage tax and VAT submissions
- Liaise with external auditors and lead statutory reporting processes
- Manage budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning
- Provide accurate and timely cash flow forecasting
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
- Drive business improvement initiatives and ERP process optimisation
Key Skills and Experience required
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge and a proven track record in UK statutory accounting
- Experience in a large global multi-site organisation
- Prior exposure to M&A activities would be highly desirable
- Experience of leading on Audits and acting as key liaison with the external auditors
- Strong communication skills across Finance and senior leadership
- Advanced Excel and ERP optimisation skills
- Ambition to build a best-in-class finance function
