Job description:
LHH is excited to partner with a respected firm in Exeter that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team.
In this position, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements and providing valuable financial insights. You'll collaborate with a team of professionals, helping to establish best practices while taking advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with entrepreneurial clients to provide guidance for their growing businesses.
- Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for incorporated and unincorporated businesses, ensuring compliance.
- Handle self-assessment tax returns, clarifying clients' obligations.
- Advise on capital tax issues like inheritance and capital gains tax.
- Maintain accurate accounting records for financial reporting.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure timely compliance.
- Liaise with HMRC to resolve client queries.
- Offer administrative and business setup services to support client growth.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, including training students.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Experienced in preparing accounts for partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies.
- Able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
