We are currently seeking a Commercial Disputes Associate on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis for an organisation operating in the legal industry. Joining their Commercial Disputes team based in Leeds, you will work on a specific project and collaborate with a team of experienced commercial disputes lawyers. If you have a background in general commercial disputes and defender PI work, this opportunity will allow you to work on high-calibre cases alongside like-minded professionals who are dedicated to achieving successful outcomes for their clients.


The Commercial Disputes team is comprised of lawyers located across multiple UK offices and internationally, and they are known for their commercial and innovative approach to resolving business disputes. The team is highly skilled in various areas, including alternative dispute resolution, formal proceedings, and transactional understanding. They work closely with other teams to strategically resolve disputes for blue-chip companies, public sector authorities, and high-net-worth individuals across sectors such as retail, transport, digital, and financial services.


To be successful in this role, you will need a strong technical understanding of the law, excellent drafting and communication skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to work within challenging deadlines. In addition, you should have a collaborative approach, as you will be working in a supportive team environment across different locations and borders.
