Audit Senior / Assistant Audit Manager

A well-established Top 100 independent accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior or Assistant Audit Manager to join its growing Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership-focused audit role within a highly respected, multi-partner practice with a strong and diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the completion of high-quality audit and accounts assignments across a diverse range of clients
- Coordinate reporting timelines and manage client expectations to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Build and sustain effective relationships with clients and their finance teams
- Oversee on-site fieldwork and manage the daily activities of the audit team to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Assume ownership of complex or high-risk audit areas, applying sound judgement throughout
- Mentor and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback
About You:
- ACA / ACCA qualified, or a finalist close to qualification
- Previous experience delivering audits within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of the audit process and ability to manage audits from planning through to completion
- Experience using audit software (CCH preferred) and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- A commercial mindset with a strong focus on client service and technical quality
