We am supporting a leading organisation within the financial services sector in their search for an experienced Senior Strategic Value Partner to join their People & Culture leadership team. This is a highly strategic senior HR role partnering directly with the CEO and senior leadership team of a major Corporate & Commercial business.
About the Role
This opportunity sits at the heart of the organisation's people strategy, driving forward initiatives that impact culture, leadership, talent, and organisational effectiveness. The Strategic Value Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, playing a key role in shaping the people agenda to support business performance across Corporate & Commercial operations.
You will influence high‑level decision‑making, guide leaders through complex challenges, and ensure that people strategies directly support commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to align people strategies with commercial priorities.
- Coach and influence ExCo and senior leaders, enhancing leadership capability and fostering a high‑performance culture.
Culture & Leadership
- Support leaders in role‑modelling the organisation's behavioural and leadership expectations.
- Partner with Centres of Expertise to embed engagement, DEI and wellbeing initiatives.
Talent & Workforce Strategy
- Lead strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and long‑term talent strategies.
- Drive organisational design initiatives to improve agility, capability, and business performance.
Transformation & Change
- Provide strategic counsel on transformation initiatives and lead people‑related change activities across the business.
- Work cross‑functionally with HR specialisms to deliver integrated, business‑aligned solutions.
Data & Insight
- Use HR data and MI to forecast workforce needs, identify trends, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
- Conduct external benchmarking to bring market insights into strategic decision‑making.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Translate engagement insights into practical actions that drive cultural improvements.
- Act as the voice of the business within the People & Culture function, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive senior HR Business Partnering experience, with strong technical HR expertise.
- Strong background in Financial Services
- Proven track record influencing Executive Committee‑level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability and a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent relationship‑building, coaching, and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a complex, rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in global or matrix environments and/or strategic workforce planning is beneficial.
