LHH are recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant on behalf of one of our market leading, global clients, based Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled ACA/ACCA qualified professional to support the business during a period of growth and change. Please note:
- Only candidates available immediately (or at short notice) will be considered
- There is opportunity for the role to go permanent for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage the preparation of tax returns and support with VAT and other regulatory filings.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closings, and variance analysis.
- Provide insight into financial performance, helping business leaders make informed decisions.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required during the contract period.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software (experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
