Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Warwick, UK
Remuneration: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time (with an early finish on a Friday)
Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Group
- Take responsibility for statutory reporting and tax compliance
- Conduct month-end procedures, including ledger closure and processing of journals
- Maintain certain balance sheet accounts and prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations
- Support monthly submissions to the Group and assist with board pack preparation
- Manage the accounting process and assist with stock accounting
- Assist with budget preparation and ownership of budgeting/forecasting for balance sheet and cash flow
- Manage the sales and purchase ledger, review balances, and monitor bad debt provision
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparation of year-end tax pack and VAT returns
- Oversee the year-end audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong understanding of UK Accounting Standards and the audit process (will consider Qualified by Experience)
- Two or more years of experience in an accounting role for a £100m+ turnover company, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the willingness to travel throughout the UK and to overseas offices
