A well-established, highly regarded law firm with deep expertise in property and agricultural law is seeking an Agriculture & Rural Affairs Lawyer to join its supportive and collaborative team. The firm is recognised for delivering exceptional client care across rural communities, farming families, and landowners, and provides a professional yet friendly working environment where people and career progression are genuinely valued.


The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with experience in rural and agricultural matters to manage a broad and varied caseload of property transactions. You will play a key role in delivering practical, tailored legal advice while maintaining the highest level of service to clients.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all aspects of agricultural and rural affairs matters, ensuring thorough due diligence throughout property transactions.
  • Maintain current and practical knowledge of law relevant to rural property transactions.
  • Undertake legal research to provide accurate, effective advice.
  • Deliver excellent client service at every stage of the matter.
  • Achieve time and billing targets consistently.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, remaining adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Ensure matters are progressed efficiently and files are kept in good order.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, supporting team workflow and joint projects when needed.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, reflecting the firm's ethos of outstanding client care.

Key Skills & Experience


  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with proven experience in property, rural, or agricultural law.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural and rural property transactions.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and efficient, with the ability to balance multiple matters.
  • Client-focused approach with exceptional communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player with commercial awareness and initiative.
