Job Title: Technical Program Manager – Datacenter Operations (Remote, U.S. Only) Location: Remote (U.S.-based only) Job Type: 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension) Industry: Information Technology / Infrastructure Work Authorization: No C2C. Candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.


About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead critical datacenter operations projects. This includes managing infrastructure decommissioning efforts, new datacenter launches, and P2 retirement initiatives. You will work closely with Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution, timely delivery, and effective risk mitigation.


This is a 6-month remote contract (U.S.-based only) with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead datacenter decommissioning efforts, ensuring safe and efficient shutdown and removal of hardware and infrastructure.


  • Manage the launch of new datacenters, coordinating logistics, hardware deployment, and configuration activities.


  • Oversee P2 retirement projects, including service migration and infrastructure decommissioning.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Ops) to align on project goals, timelines, and milestones.


  • Provide clear and consistent project reporting, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.


  • Deliver timely, transparent status updates to stakeholders, addressing issues and keeping all parties aligned.

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role within or adjacent to datacenter operations.


  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including both on-premise and cloud environments.


  • Demonstrated experience managing complex infrastructure projects with multiple dependencies.


  • Proficiency in JIRA and other project management tools.


  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.


  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


  • Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship.


Nice to Have:



  • Experience with hardware lifecycle management, infrastructure migrations, or cloud platform operations (AWS, Azure, GCP).


  • Familiarity with P2 retirement workflows or enterprise-level service transitions.
