Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Burbank, CA
Job Type: Temporary to Hire
Pay Range: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Our client, a non-profit in Burbank CA., is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Payable experience and will play a crucial role in supporting their grant accounting processes and ensuring proper grant allocations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor management.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of grant budgets, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and proper allocation of funds.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all grant-related transactions.
Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors and internal stakeholders as required.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of grant expenditures.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in Accounts Payable and general accounting.
Experience with grant accounting and knowledge of grant compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Non-profit accounting experience is a plus.
