Job Title: Title Specialist

Pay: $22/hour
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Onsite – Carmel, Indiana
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST


About the Role

We are seeking a Title Specialist to provide support for all vehicle title–related processes. This role involves managing post‑sale documentation, resolving title issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners. You will help maintain workflow efficiency, document quality, and smooth daily operations within the title department.


What You’ll Do

Title Processing & Support

  • Assist with daily processing of vehicle title documents.

  • Serve as the primary contact for questions or issues related to titles.

  • Request duplicate titles in accordance with company policy.

  • Run title status reports and support responses to title‑related inquiries.

Issue Resolution & Compliance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve title problems in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with company procedures as well as state and federal guidelines.

  • Facilitate the timely return of titles on voided transactions to reduce financial exposure.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare weekly title status reports for internal partners.

  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and training materials.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Scan and upload titles into electronic systems, ensuring clear and accurate digital records.

  • Create shipping labels, package, and send title documents daily.

  • Ensure titles are delivered to the correct recipient.


What We’re Looking For

You Are:

  • Detail‑oriented — thorough and precise with document handling.

  • Proactive — able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • A strong communicator — clear and confident in both written and verbal communication.


Must‑Have Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in title work.

  • Strong customer service, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to type 55+ WPM and strong 10‑key skills.

  • Conflict resolution experience.

  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite applications.


Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred).

  • Notary Public license or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

  • General automotive knowledge.
