Overview: LHH is looking for an experienced Trust, Estate, and Probate Paralegal to become part of our client’s dynamic legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys through every phase of estate planning and probate administration—from initial consultations to drafting documents, managing estates, and guiding probate proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, a comprehensive knowledge of estate planning practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional legal assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, in collaboration with attorneys.

  • Manage trust and estate administration activities, such as asset collection and valuation, inventory preparation, and distribution oversight.

  • Perform legal research and assist with probate matters, including petition filings, court documentation, and communication with court staff.

  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all records.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries regarding estate planning and probate processes.

  • Coordinate with financial institutions, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders involved in trust and estate administration.

  • Assist in preparing tax returns related to estate and trust matters.

  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Prepare and submit probate-related court filings, including inventories, accountings, and final reports.

  • Attend hearings and support attorneys with case management and trial preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a paralegal with a focus on trust, estate planning, and administration.

  • Skilled in legal research and document preparation.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Familiarity with probate procedures and eagerness to expand knowledge in this area.

  • Proficient in legal software and case management systems.

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; paralegal certification preferred.

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.

Details:

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire

  • Compensation: up to $85,000 annually

  • Benefits provided by the firm, including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; 401K; generous PTO; and free parking.
