The Human Resources Director is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with organizational goals. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Director acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership and ensures HR policies and practices foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This is a Contract position located near Chicago Heights, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, workforce planning, and organizational growth.
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Lead employee relations initiatives, providing guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings and cost-effectiveness while maintaining vendor relationships.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, fostering an inclusive culture and supporting organizational values.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and managers on HR-related matters, organizational design, and talent development.
- Oversee HR technology systems and ensure accurate data management and reporting.
- Lead and mentor HR team members, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.

- Pay $55-$65 an hour depending on experience
