Experienced Litigation Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary - Chicago, IL
LHH is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join a fast-paced litigation firm in downtown Chicago, IL.
Salary: $70,000-$105,000
Type of role: Direct hire // Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
Complete e-filing and scheduling motions.
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
Manage and organize case files and maintain up-to-date records.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Experience with litigation case management, including discovery and pretrial.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledgeable about the e-filing procedures and court proceedings for state, federal and appellate courts, including the attachment of exhibits, and bate stamping of documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, Odyssey, PACER, Net Docs a plus.
