LHH is partnering with a great national litigation firm seeking an experienced, trial‑ready Litigation Paralegal to join their Costa Mesa team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a high‑profile practice handling complex, high‑exposure product liability matters nationwide. This position supports a busy national litigation practice specializing in complex product liability matters across all 50 states.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, agreements, pleadings, and related documents

  • Manage case progress and proactively update attorneys on key deadlines and needs

  • Assist with all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests, deposition coordination, and issuing subpoenas

  • Conduct document review and analysis using litigation technology platforms

  • Maintain organized electronic case files using iManage

  • Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, trial subpoenas, and attending trial

  • Review, analyze, and summarize complex medical records for medical chronologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of litigation defense experience required

  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing shifting day‑to‑day priorities

  • Strong judgment and ability to anticipate needs independently

  • Tech‑savvy and comfortable learning new systems

  • Ability to travel nationwide for trials

  • Must be familiar with billing guidelines and entering accurate billable time

Details:

  • Location: Costa Mesa, CA

  • Schedule: Hybrid

    • Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

    • Remote: Monday, Friday

  • Training: Must be available to work onsite full‑time (5 days/week) during training

  • Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours annually

  • This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $70,000 to $110,000 annual salary and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
