LHH is partnering with a great national litigation firm seeking an experienced, trial‑ready Litigation Paralegal to join their Costa Mesa team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a high‑profile practice handling complex, high‑exposure product liability matters nationwide. This position supports a busy national litigation practice specializing in complex product liability matters across all 50 states.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, agreements, pleadings, and related documents
Manage case progress and proactively update attorneys on key deadlines and needs
Assist with all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests, deposition coordination, and issuing subpoenas
Conduct document review and analysis using litigation technology platforms
Maintain organized electronic case files using iManage
Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, trial subpoenas, and attending trial
Review, analyze, and summarize complex medical records for medical chronologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience
4+ years of litigation defense experience required
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing shifting day‑to‑day priorities
Strong judgment and ability to anticipate needs independently
Tech‑savvy and comfortable learning new systems
Ability to travel nationwide for trials
Must be familiar with billing guidelines and entering accurate billable time
Details:
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Schedule: Hybrid
Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Remote: Monday, Friday
Training: Must be available to work onsite full‑time (5 days/week) during training
Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours annually
