Fund Accountant
Location: Darien, Connecticut, United States
LHH Recruitment has partnered with a Global Investment firm in their search for a Fund Accountant. This role will report to the Senior Fund Accountant and provide accounting support and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Process and track daily capital activity notices (capital calls, distributions, carried interest).
Set up wires for capital activities using the online banking portal.
Prepare journal entries for capital activities and management company books.
Prepare and manage strategic investor notices based on fund notices.
Maintain the investor portal, including posting notices and managing access requests.
Prepare and reconcile quarterly workpapers for assigned entities; generate member capital account statements.
Assist with monthly and quarterly book closing for the management company
Support annual audit activities and respond to auditor inquiries.
Provide information to tax service providers for annual Schedule K-1 preparation.
Liaise with third-party fund administrators as needed.
Respond to ad hoc requests from members and internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret fund governing documents, organizational charts, and fund relationships.
Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
Effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in private equity or financial services is a plus.
CPA designation or intent to pursue CPA certification.
Pay Details: $50.00 to $52.00 per hour
