LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for one of our customers located in Emeryville, California. This position is hybrid and will be in-office 3 days a week! The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or Inventory Accountant. The positions primary focus is to ensure the accuracy of the company’s inventory and assist with other duties and projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciling retail store inventories across the company stores

• Perform month-end closing activities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and reports related to retail inventories

• Accounts Analysis on the general ledger detail

• Process inventory transfer transactions

• Prepare detailed reports and Excel spreadsheets

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is required

• Experience in private industry and public accounting experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of current US GAAP

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel - Advanced)

• Software experience with SAP would be a plus

• Strong understanding of inventory

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent communications able to interact professionally with vendors, internal management and team members

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Experience: 5 years of accounting experience (Accountant, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Inventory Accountant)
