Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for a growing client in Northern Kentucky. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex accounting activities, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring accurate and timely close processes. This role works closely with leadership and cross?functional teams to maintain strong financial controls and support operational decision?making. This position is direct hire / permanent placement and will pay between $80K and $95K annually.

Responsibilities
  • Prepared and reviewed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Managed general ledger activity, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Led month?end and year?end close processes and resolved close?related issues
  • Performed detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations with variance analysis
  • Supported internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses
  • Assisted with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
  • Reviewed and improved accounting processes, controls, and documentation
  • Provided guidance and oversight to junior accounting staff as needed
  • Collaborated with operations, sales, and leadership to support financial reporting needs
  • Ensured compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Detail?oriented with strong analytical and problem?solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work overtime during month end close.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
