Title Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk to support title processing across a portfolio of up to 10 dealerships across multiple states. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vehicle title and registration documentation while maintaining compliance with state and local regulations. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $23 and $25/hr. Prior automotive title experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Process vehicle titles, registrations, and related documents for new and used vehicle sales
  • Submit title and registration paperwork to state agencies in accordance with deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Review deal paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation
  • Communicate with sales, finance, and accounting teams to resolve title-related discrepancies
  • Track title status and follow up on missing titles, lien releases, or documentation
  • Maintain organized and accurate title records for multiple dealership locations
  • Respond to inquiries from internal staff, customers, lenders, and state agencies regarding title status
  • Ensure compliance with DMV regulations and dealership policies across all locations
  • Assist with audits and reporting related to titles and registrations as needed

Requirements
  • 1–3 years of automotive title experience within a dealership or dealer network environment
  • Working knowledge of DMV title and registration processes and requirements
  • Experience processing high-volume title work across multiple rooftops preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and title tracking software
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
