Human Resources Coordinator
LHH Garden City, New York, United States (On-site)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator at our manufacturing client in Garden City, NY. The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This role is primarily responsible for coordinating HR processes, maintaining accurate employee records, supporting employee lifecycle activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The position does not include strategic decision-making and operates under the direction of HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate day-to-day HR administrative activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes
• Prepare and maintain personnel files in accordance with record retention and confidentiality requirements
• Generate standard HR correspondence, letters, and memos as directed
• Distribute and collect required HR documentation (acknowledgments, forms, certifications)
• Enter, update, and audit employee data in HRIS (SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP), payroll, and timekeeping systems
• Run standard reports related to headcount, attendance, and employee changes
• Schedule interviews, meetings, and employee appointments as needed
• Provide logistical support for HR initiatives, training sessions, and employee communications
Qualifications
• Associates degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
