We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys high-volume AP work, and values accuracy, organization, and process improvement.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting month-end close activities within SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume invoices in SAP, including matching, coding, approvals, and posting.

  • Execute weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, wire, checks) while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances; research and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain AP records in accordance with company policies, audit standards, and internal controls.

  • Partner with vendors and internal departments to address invoice and payment inquiries.

  • Support month-end close, accruals, and audit requests related to accounts payable.

  • Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a professional accounting environment.

  • Hands-on SAP experience required (invoice processing, payments, reconciliations).

  • Strong understanding of AP best practices, internal controls, and documentation standards.

  • Experience with high-volume invoice processing.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting audits or SOX-controlled environments.

  • Manufacturing, healthcare, or corporate accounting background.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
