The Accounting Clerk will provide day‑to‑day accounting and clerical support to the finance team. This contract role focuses on routine accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting systems

  • Process accounts payable and/or accounts receivable transactions, including invoices and payments

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation

  • Assist with account reconciliations and resolve basic discrepancies

  • Maintain organized and up‑to‑date financial records and files

  • Support month‑end close activities, including report preparation and documentation

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to billing or payments

  • Assist with audits or special accounting projects as needed

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting procedures

  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks to support the accounting team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

  • 1+ year of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical role

  • Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
