The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining organized and compliant accounts payable records. This role supports daily AP operations, works closely with internal departments and vendors, and contributes to month‑end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
Process high‑volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Perform invoice matching, including two‑way and three‑way matching as required
Verify invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries professionally
Prepare and process weekly or bi‑weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire)
Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items
Maintain accurate AP records and ensure proper documentation retention
Monitor AP inboxes and follow up on pending approvals or missing information
Assist with month‑end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
2+ years of accounts payable experience in a corporate or shared services environment
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls
Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
