LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to manage the daily functions of the HR department, including compensation, performance management, employee relations, occupational health and safety, training, and compliance with employment laws.

Work Schedule: Core hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in employee relations and performance management investigations, with experience handling sensitive workplace issues, investigations, and resolving complex employee concerns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5+ years of HR experience who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientations and exit interviews.
Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, particularly in the areas of employee relations and performance management, referring complex or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.
Oversee the performance management process, including annual reviews, performance improvement plans, career pathing, and employee development, with a strong focus on performance investigations and conflict resolution.
Lead and manage employee relations investigations, ensuring timely and fair resolutions to complaints, concerns, and misconduct.
Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on employee relations issues, including performance-related challenges, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Develop and lead employee recognition and engagement programs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies and practices are up to date.
Provide support for the implementation and execution of HR policies and procedures.
Lead training initiatives, including occupational health, safety, and wellness programs.
Maintain HRIS system data integrity and generate ad hoc reports as needed.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, with a particular emphasis on performance management and employee relations matters.
Provide backup for Payroll & Benefits Specialist as needed.
Assist with the development of sourcing strategies for recruitment and support HR projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the HR department as needed.
Assist with performance evaluations and constructive feedback.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial work with employee relations and performance management investigations.
Strong investigative skills in handling sensitive employee relations issues, such as complaints, misconduct, and performance concerns.
A proven ability to manage conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to leadership and staff.
Experience conducting and leading performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
Strong understanding of labor and employment laws and the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world HR scenarios.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to address complex issues clearly and diplomatically.
High level of proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times, particularly when dealing with sensitive employee issues.
Experience in designing and leading employee engagement and recognition programs.
A collaborative mindset with a team-first mentality and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least one year of employee relations and performance management investigations experience preferred.
At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
SHRM/PHR certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
Experience managing and investigating employee relations issues, performance problems, and conflicts in the workplace.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related HR software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Highly adaptable, proactive, and able to take initiative.
Working Environment:
Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week (Mon-Thurs), and optional remote Fridays with a half-day.
Core hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.
