Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site, 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday)

Compensation: $24 - $26/hr.

Position Overview:

Join a dynamic finance team where your attention to detail and organizational skills will help drive efficient business operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative setting, and is eager to contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance department by managing a high volume of transactional activities with accuracy and timeliness

  • Ensure all financial documentation is properly reviewed, organized, and maintained for compliance and audit readiness

  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships with business partners and vendors

  • Take ownership of daily and periodic payment cycles, including preparing, processing, and tracking outgoing payments

  • Participate in the review and reconciliation of financial records, contributing to month-end and year-end processes

  • Assist with internal projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing workflow and efficiency

  • Maintain up-to-date records and support the implementation of best practices in financial operations

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • At least 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role, preferably with exposure to accounts payable

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel) and familiarity with enterprise accounting systems

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain focus in a busy environment

  • Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit



Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
