Job Title: HR Support Specialist
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Schedule: 5 days per week, starting between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM, 8-hour shifts

Job Summary
Provides support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruiting, labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and organizational development. Responsibilities include processing and coordinating HR-related paperwork, gathering information for reports, and maintaining accurate employee records and communications.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for employees and contractors regarding HR, payroll, and benefits inquiries; direct them to appropriate personnel (do not resolve inquiries).
Provide initial support for HRIS processes (Workday).
Assist with payroll data entry into Workday/UKG (not responsible for payroll processing).
Maintain accurate and confidential employee information in HRIS systems, including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, leave of absence, benefit enrollments, and deductions.
Support onboarding processes and provide administrative assistance (paper filing, job bids, attendance tracking, system login help).
Ensure integrity of employee records in Workday and/or UKG.
Collaborate with supervisors across departments; report directly to the HR Manager.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
0–3 years of HR-related experience.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
Knowledge of HR/payroll/benefits processes and policies.
Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, UKG, PeopleSoft, or Kronos.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, change-filled environment.
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in basic analytical tasks and system navigation.
Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
