Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing support to project managers and stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze project financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Monitor project expenses and revenues, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and audits of project accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of project financial transactions and documentation.
  • Provide support during project audits and reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a contract-to-hire environment is a plus
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year Search managed by: Nikki Caudill
