Temp Senior Contracts Paralegal
Location: California (Remote - Must live near one of the following cities: Walnut Creek, Petaluma, Long Beach, and San Francisco)
Job Type: Contract, Remote, Full-Time
Contract Duration: 2-3 Months
Pay: $40 per hour
LHH is partnering with a financial services company in seeking a Contract Paralegal based in California. The ideal candidate will bring strong month contract based in San Francisco, California. The ideal candidate brings strong experience preparing and reviewing legal documents, complete legal research, oversee data retention guidelines, as well as prepare communications for internal and external inquiries about legal documents and contracts.
Job Description
Draft, review, and revise a high volume of standard commercial agreements, including NDAs, consulting agreements, SOWs, MSAs, amendments, and engagement-related documents.
Support contract lifecycle activities such as routing for approval, redlining, tracking revisions, and ensuring proper execution.
Conduct initial issue-spotting on contract terms, identifying standard versus non-standard language and escalating risks as needed.
Maintain organized contract files and accurately update contract management trackers, databases, or shared platforms.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (legal, procurement, finance, operations, HR, audit teams, and practice leaders) to gather information, clarify contract requirements, and support timely contract completion.
Prepare summaries or comparison charts of key contract terms for internal teams.
Assist with reviewing vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and any accounting industry requirements.
Support ad hoc projects involving contract clean-up, template updates, policy alignment, and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and consistency in all contract-related work.
Provide general legal administrative support such as document formatting, signature management, and organizing contract repositories.
Qualifications
5–10 years of paralegal or contracts experience.
Prior experience handling NDAs, consulting agreements, SOWs, MSAs, and contract amendments in a corporate or professional services environment.
Strong understanding of contract terminology, standard clauses, and basic risk concepts.
Experience working cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, procurement, or similar departments.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple agreements simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency with MS Office; experience with contract management tools or e-signature platforms is a plus.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
