Temporary to Hire Docketing Clerk

Job Type: Full-Time, 100% remote, must live in CA with CA experience contract to hire

Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour


LHH is working with a law firm seeking a highly skilled temp to hire docketing specialist to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This position is 100% remote, must reside in CA and have CA legal experience and contract to hire. $30-$35 per hour. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil litigation defense and California court procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including tracking deadlines, entering, and updating case information.

  • Monitor and manage critical deadlines for filings, court hearings, and other legal actions.

  • Generate various reports from the docketing system to provide case status updates, deadline summaries, and other relevant information to attorneys and staff.

  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.

  • Tech savvy and familiar with Clio and Compulaw

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in defense litigation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).

  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Prior experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation preferred.

Compensation and Benefits $30-35 hourly

Benefits include-medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401K, PTO and provide parking.
