Docket Clerk/Managing Clerk (Various areas of litigation) Hybrid (4/1 to 3/2) New York, NY. LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Docketing Clerk with at least 3-5 years of experience in docketing and litigation to work on a hybrid basis in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting attorneys in the area of litigation, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced legal environment.

This full-time position requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who thrives in a team-oriented, client-focused setting and is comfortable navigating evolving technology and legal processes.



Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and monitor critical litigation dates and deadlines in CompuLaw, ensuring full compliance with applicable federal and state rules

  • Research relevant court rules and provide procedural guidance to attorneys and staff.

  • Review and process incoming case-related notices, filings, and correspondence.

  • Generate clear, accurate docket reports and perform thorough quality-control checks on all entries

  • Assist with special projects as directed by the Docket Administrator and Senior Manager of Practice Support Services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of legal docketing experience

  • Solid understanding of legal procedures, court rules, and deadlines related to litigation

  • Strong familiarity with legal terminology and litigation procedures

  • Solid understanding of federal and state court rules

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and collaborative demeanor

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Willingness to work overtime or travel as needed

Compensation
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Vacation Time: 30 days of PTO and Paid Sick Leave (10 day role over annually) prorated from date of hire

  • Additional Benefits: Compensation profit sharing plan 401(k) based on years of legal experience

  • Prorated annual increases based on time of hire (annual review)



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
