Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst (Hybrid Role)
Location: New York, NY. Hybrid (Mon-Wed In-Office)
Pay Range: $65 - $75 per hour
Job Overview: We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role, working both remotely and in the office (Mon-Wed). This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial strategy and planning for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Linear Marketing, particularly focusing on marketing spend. You will work closely with key stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, and Content Planning to drive DTC financial goals. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of finance-related experience, preferably within the Media/Entertainment, Technology, Startup, or Investment Banking sectors, with strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Build and track marketing budgets through short-term and long-term planning cycles (e.g., Forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, 5-Year Plan).
Compile marketing forecasts and track actual spend, ensuring alignment with financial goals and focusing on marketing efficiency related to subscriber acquisition.
Provide operational finance support and work closely with domestic marketing teams to create forecasts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing finance teams across all DTC and Linear services on various analyses to identify efficiencies within the marketing budgets and provide strategic financial direction.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and improve operational efficiencies, especially in relation to quarterly close, budgeting, and reporting.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Develop and deliver impactful presentations (PowerPoint decks, write-ups, backup materials) to communicate financial projections, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Present financial information to senior management, providing key insights to inform decision-making.
International Coordination:
Coordinate with international regions to consolidate and communicate international marketing forecasts and trends.
Track variances in forecasts and keep leadership well-informed on expected variances over time.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of finance-related experience, preferably in Media/Entertainment, Technology, Startup, or Investment Banking.
Expert Excel skills with strong financial modeling and analytical abilities.
Strong work ethic, deliverable-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the streaming industry is a plus.
Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
Familiarity with data analysis and cleansing across divisions and units of the company.
Experience creating PowerPoint decks and providing updates to SVP-level or higher management.
