HR Assistant – Construction & Manufacturing Support

Tempe, AZ | Monday–Friday, Hybrid Schedule After Training
$23–$26/hour |Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Are you a detail-driven HR professional with experience supporting construction or manufacturing teams? We’re looking for an HR Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the unique demands of field operations, compliance, and workforce coordination.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and administrative teams to ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and HR support across multiple job sites and departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new hire paperwork, including union documentation, trade certifications, and safety acknowledgments
  • Maintain and verify I-9 and E-Verify records for field and office personnel
  • Track and collect Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from subcontractors and vendors
  • Assist with subcontractor documentation including lien waivers, change orders, and contract updates
  • Support performance review cycles and maintain tracking logs for field evaluations
  • Prepare UPS labels and manage mail distribution for jobsite and office correspondence
  • Run weekly audits and update organizational charts and department assignments
  • Review and approve mileage logs and expense submissions
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems for compliance and audit readiness
  • Upload documents into construction and manufacturing platforms (e.g., Procore, Textura, Spectrum, Birddog)
  • Assist with onboarding and intake for new employees, including safety training coordination
  • Support HRBP with special projects, reporting, and workforce communications

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with construction documentation such as COIs, lien waivers, and subcontractor agreements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual
  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Must meet minimum driving standards
  • Note: THC use is disqualifying due to government contract requirements
