About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Director leads the strategy, processes, and team responsible for attracting and hiring top talent across the organization. This role partners closely with executives and HR leaders to build scalable hiring programs that support growth, improve candidate experience, and strengthen employer brand.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the organization’s talent acquisition strategy aligned with workforce needs.
Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing recruiting team.
Optimize recruiting processes, systems, and tools to drive efficiency and quality.
Partner with business leaders on headcount planning, hiring priorities, and pipeline needs.
Oversee employer branding, talent marketing, and diversity recruitment initiatives.
Monitor and report on key hiring metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, funnel conversion, etc.).
Manage recruiting budgets, vendors, and technology platforms.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and consistent, equitable hiring practices.
Qualifications
Several years of progressive recruiting experience, including leadership of TA teams.
Proven success developing and scaling recruitment strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with ATS/CRM systems and data-driven recruiting decisions.
Knowledge of structured selection, sourcing strategies, and inclusive hiring practices.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced certifications a plus.
Success Measures
Speed & Efficiency: time-to-fill, time-in-stage, recruiter productivity.
Quality & Retention: hiring manager satisfaction/NPS, candidate experience scores, 6–12 month new-hire retention, performance at first review.
Pipeline Health: diversity of slate, source mix, pass-through rates by stage.
Financials: cost-per-hire, vendor ROI, budget adherence.
Operational Maturity: process adoption, data integrity, and system utilization.
Working Conditions
May require occasional travel for key hiring events, leadership meetings, or campus engagements.
Flexible work arrangements based on business needs and role requirements.
