LHH Recruitment is working with an environmental company in North Phoenix who needs an AP clerk to cover for an upcoming medical leave. This role is fully onsite, and is expected to last 3-4 months. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The hourly is up to 26/hr.
The AP Clerk will be responsible for processing high-volume invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Perform 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receiving documentation)
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation of AP records
- Assist with month-end close tasks as needed
- Support the accounting team with additional administrative duties
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
- Experience with high-volume invoice processing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
