Billable target: 130 hours/month.
LHH is seeking a skilled Medical Malpractice Paralegal with 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice and professional negligence cases. This role requires expertise in managing complex litigation documents, preparing medical chronologies, and supporting attorneys with discovery, deposition, and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage discovery, organize and summarize medical records, and prepare medical chronologies.
Draft correspondence, analysis memoranda, and timelines.
Prepare subpoenas, authorizations, and exhibits for depositions and trials.
Research medical terminology and conduct background investigations.
Communicate with clients, attorneys, and experts.
Ensure compliance with court rules, HIPAA guidelines, and billing standards.
Qualifications
3+ years in medical malpractice litigation (plaintiff-side experience will not be considered).
Strong critical thinking, medical terminology knowledge, and document review expertise.
MS Office Suite, timekeeping software, and electronic file management.
Work Product: Must provide a sample medical chronology.
