Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire Potential)

Richmond, VA (Downtown) – Hybrid after training

$22 – $24/hour (Contract) | Potential conversion around $25/hour

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Fully in office for initial training, then hybrid schedule

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounts Payable Processing

• Manage high-volume invoice processing across multiple entities

• Perform three-way matching including purchase orders, receiving documentation, and invoices

• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments

Vendor & Reconciliation Support

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice and payment issues

• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in accounts payable within a high-volume environment

• Experience with three-way matching and purchase order-based invoicing

• Background supporting materials, labor, or construction-related purchasing

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with a high level of accuracy

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Business Central (BC) or similar ERP systems

• Familiarity with inventory and fixed asset accounting processes

• Prior exposure to cost accounting environments
