Operations – Senior Process Manager (Technology Risk & Controls)

Pay Range: $54.25 – $62.35 per hour


Overview

Risk Specialists are highly motivated risk management professionals with strong project management, analytical, and communication skills. In this role, you will have broad exposure across multiple lines of business and collaborate with control owners and stakeholders at various levels to design, implement, and sustain effective risk management solutions.

As a Senior Process Manager within the Technology SOX Governance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that technology controls supporting critical processes operate in compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining a strong technology risk and control environment and supporting the organization’s continued stability and success.

You will execute day-to-day technology risk and control governance “core services” while also partnering across the enterprise to develop and implement forward-looking, innovative technology risk management solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Control Governance

  • Ensure assigned technology controls are operating effectively and as designed.

  • Own operational oversight of controls in accordance with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory expectations.

  • Provide risk consulting and subject matter expertise for an assigned control portfolio.

Control Maintenance

  • Provide consultation and oversight on control design and enhancements.

  • Perform effective challenge of control design and execution.

  • Support the ongoing maintenance of effective controls for internal and external testing purposes.

Testing Readiness & Support

  • Conduct independent management “pre-audit” assessments of first-line technology controls.

  • Evaluate the sufficiency of control processes and effectiveness of execution prior to formal testing.

Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and challenge potential control issues.

  • Provide consultation on remediation strategies and maintain accountability for remediation plans and issue closure.

Strategic Delivery & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the technology risk and control domain.

  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency, scalability, and optimization.

  • Support implementation of solutions using Agile methodologies or standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years of experience in Information Systems Risk Management, IT Audit, or IT Compliance

  • 4+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional risk initiatives

  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing industry risk frameworks and quantitative analysis

  • 3+ years of experience with the COSO framework

  • 3+ years of experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations

  • 3+ years of experience in risk controls and process management

  • 2+ years of experience with Python, SQL, or Databricks

  • Relevant certifications preferred, including but not limited to: PMP, CPM, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CSOX, CSOXP, CSOXM, or AWS Cloud certifications


Work Location

  • Hybrid work model

  • Must be able to work onsite in Plano, TX or Richmond, VA



Pay Details: $54.25 to $62.25 per hour
