About the Role
This position is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day office operations. The role supports organizational leadership, manages payroll, maintains compliance with HR regulations, and supervises administrative staff. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail‑oriented, and comfortable balancing HR responsibilities with office management needs.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain and update the employee handbook.
Manage recruitment activities including drafting job ads, posting positions, applicant tracking, screening candidates, and coordinating background checks.
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations.
Administer payroll and employee benefits.
Track and maintain employee time‑off schedules and support managers in approval workflows.
Office Management
Oversee daily office operations, including reception, mailroom, filing, and general administrative functions.
Support facility needs and ensure a well‑organized, efficient work environment.
Manage office workflows and administrative support staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with HR compliance including HIPAA, FMLA, CA leave laws, and general employment law.
Proficiency in payroll processing. (UKG)
Strong full‑cycle recruiting experience and familiarity with ATS systems.
Skills in HR policy development, employee relations, and personnel file management.
Experience managing office operations, vendor relationships, and administrative functions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
