HPurpose

The purpose of this role is to plan, organize, and manage total construction efforts resulting in the successful completion of field work, job schedules, and customer satisfaction in accordance with design, specifications, budget, and schedule. This role is responsible for establishing administrative and technical direction and providing oversight of assigned field projects. The position also focuses on developing and maintaining positive customer relationships to support new business opportunities and to ensure safe and profitable project delivery.

    Technical / Specialty Area

    • Promotes a zero‑injury culture through visible support of safety programs, participation in safety meetings, and proactive hazard identification.


  • Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations and quality standards. Serves as the primary liaison between clients, estimators, and field teams. Prepares project‑related correspondence and represents the company at project meetings.

  • Plans, schedules, and oversees construction activities through Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Engineers. Establishes project objectives, policies, and procedures. Handles critical project issues and implements corrective actions.

  • Manages financial aspects of contracts/subcontracts, including fees, equipment rentals, and job cost controls. Reviews invoices, billings, and resolves cost‑related matters while maintaining positive customer relationships.

  • Maintains strong working relationships with clients, design partners, union representatives, public agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Leads and develops project team members, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and mentorship. Participates in recruitment activities.

  • Completes required administrative documentation, including logs, records, safety reports, regulatory documentation, and program guidelines.


    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.


    Experience & Industry Expertise

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry, preferably in pipeline construction.


  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong background in pipeline projects or heavy civil underground/utility construction.


    Specific Job Requirements

    • Successful completion of pre‑employment drug, alcohol, and background checks


  • Valid driver’s license

  • Current on all required safety training

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest

  • Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and EEO regulations

  • Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and applicable laws

  • Knowledge of corporate and industry standards, technologies, methods, cost control, and scheduling

  • Knowledge of standard operating policies and procedures

  • Frequent travel required
