A well-established construction company in Santee is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator to support key human resources functions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive hourly pay and the chance to contribute to a growing organization. Role Details:
  • Location: Onsite in Santee, CA
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Compensation: $28–$32/hour, based on experience
  • Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support across HR functions
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assist with recruiting for various roles
  • Ensure safety compliance and support workers’ compensation processes
  • Handle payroll through QuickBooks
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Support employee relations and HR policy implementation

Qualifications:
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
  • 2+ years of experience in HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, and payroll
  • Construction industry experience required
  • Familiarity with safety compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Prior HR experience preferred; construction industry experience a plus
