A well-established construction company in Santee is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator to support key human resources functions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive hourly pay and the chance to contribute to a growing organization. Role Details:
- Location: Onsite in Santee, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Compensation: $28–$32/hour, based on experience
- Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support across HR functions
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with recruiting for various roles
- Ensure safety compliance and support workers’ compensation processes
- Handle payroll through QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Support employee relations and HR policy implementation
Qualifications:
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- 2+ years of experience in HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, and payroll
- Construction industry experience required
- Familiarity with safety compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior HR experience preferred; construction industry experience a plus
