LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a HYBRID Workday Technology Lead in St. Louis, MO to support the next phase of its enterprise transformation. This role will serve as the strategic owner of the Workday Financials platform, partnering closely with Finance, Technology, and HR leadership to ensure the system scales effectively as the organization continues to grow. This position is ideal for someone who has been through a Workday implementation before and understands how to manage, stabilize, and optimize the platform post‑go‑live—especially in environments where processes are still being built or standardized. You’ll play a key role in helping move the organization from fragmented systems to a mature, enterprise‑level operating model.
Title: Workday Technology Lead
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO - Candidates MUST be local
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 2 days remote, 3 days on-site; flexible within reason
Compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 annual

Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary Workday Financials platform lead, owning system governance, roadmap planning, and ongoing optimization
Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
Support the organization through the next phase of a multi‑stage Workday implementation, including testing, enhancements, and readiness activities
Oversee Workday Financials modules such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Procurement, Projects, and Expenses
Manage semi‑annual Workday releases, enhancements, and system changes to ensure minimal disruption and maximum value
Ensure data integrity, auditability, and compliance across financial processes
Balance day‑to‑day system support with longer‑term strategic initiatives
Document system configurations, integrations, workflows, and governance standards
Collaborate closely with HR systems partners and other enterprise technology teams as the platform matures
Help establish structure and best practices in an environment where processes are still evolving
Qualifications
Experience managing and supporting Workday Financials, preferably after having gone through an implementation
Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting workflows, and enterprise ERP environments
Comfortable operating in build‑and‑scale environments where not everything is fully defined yet
Able to assess current‑state processes, identify gaps, and help create structure
Confident communicator who can partner with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders
Hands‑on enough to understand how the system works, but strategic enough to guide direction and priorities
Strong knowledge of Workday Financials; exposure to Workday HCM is a plus
Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
