Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist to join our client’s HR team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate will be a people-focused professional with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Schaumburg, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate HR programs and policies across the organization.
- Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems.
- Assist in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

- 100% onsite
- Pay is $30-$35 an hour, depending on experience
