Role: Legal Assistant – Litigation, Land Use & Real Estate
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)
Salary range: $75,000 - $105,000
Hours: 8 am – 5 pm (40-hour work week)
LHH is seeking a full-time, onsite Legal Assistant to support a high-volume practice that includes litigation and transactional work within the Land Use and Real Estate group.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and organize case files and related documentation for litigation and transactional matters.
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and deadlines.
Coordinate schedules for court appearances, client meetings, and project-related deadlines.
Handle confidential materials with discretion and maintain accurate internal records.
Required Skills
Proficiency in drafting, formatting, and transcribing a variety of legal documents with strong written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw) and legal document management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to land use, real estate, or municipal law is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with Washington State courts and administrative agencies is preferred.
Experience supporting both litigation and transactional matters is helpful but not required.
Real estate background or understanding of land use permitting processes is advantageous but not required.
Requirements:
Must have strong docketing and calendaring abilities
Must have great follow through on tasks and be able to communicate with attorneys on where things are at in projects and tasks
Minimum of 3+ years of WA State experience.
Must be available to work fully onsite during probationary period (60 days).
