Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Seattle law firm to find a Transactional Legal Assistant to support attorneys across a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. This role is ideal for someone who excels in document-heavy work, enjoys managing complex administrative processes, and can anticipate attorney needs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will be a key member of the team, assisting with document preparation, closing binders, attorney calendar management, billing coordination, and overall matter organization. The firm offers a supportive culture, hybrid work flexibility, and a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Format, edit, compare, proofread, and finalize transactional documents and correspondence
- Conduct conflicts checks, draft and finalize engagement letters, and assist with new matter openings
- Maintain and update client files (physical and electronic) in accordance with firm policies
- Prepare and organize closing binders and other transactional deliverables
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, monitoring deadlines, and tracking tasks
- Assist with billing processes, including reviewing pre-bills and monitoring receivables
- Submit and track expense reimbursements
- Coordinate CLE registrations, track compliance, and arrange travel
- Provide general administrative and project-based support to attorneys
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience supporting a transactional legal practice
- Strong document production and complex formatting skills
- Excellent proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with strong prioritization and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with document management and timekeeping systems (ProLaw or similar preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
